Responsible for assisting the Kinney Group team with daily tasks such as:

  • Answering, screening, and directing phone calls
  • Reception, check-in, and assisting of guests
  • Managing frontdesk requests in ServiceNow
  • Ordering weekly Friday lunch, team lunches, snacks, and drinks
  • Tracking inventory, stocking, and ordering office supplies and colleague swag
  • Supporting all departments with mailing projects, special projects, and gift procurement
  • Maintaining office cleanliness and conference room order

As an Accounting Specialist, you will serve as a member of the Accounting team responsible for delivering timely and accurate accounting services to vendors along with internal and external customers of Kinney Group. This role will be accountable for all accounts payable, accounts receivable and collections. In addition, this role is critical in ensuring proper use of the general ledger and work closely with other team members to deliver accurate and timely financial statements.

 

In this role, the Accounting Specialist at Kinney Group will need to execute the following:

  • Assumes ownership of all accounts payable related activities:
    • Review all vendor invoices for appropriate documentation, coding and approval prior to payment
    • Process and maintain PO matching to invoices
    • Manage expense report reimbursement process
    • Administer credit cards and reconciliations/audits
    • Maintain proper documentation and standards for 1099 reporting
    • Complete 1099 process annually
    • Reconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies
    • Manage the AP inbox and respond to all vendor inquiries
    • Manage tax certifications associated with re-seller rules and regulations to avoid paying unnecessary taxes
    • Reconcile AP to GL
  • Assumes ownership of all accounts receivable related activities including order processing, invoicing and collections of accounts.
    • Work with sales to create sales orders
    • Assure timely and accurate invoicing
    • Weekly reporting of invoicing totals/aging totals/cash receipts/invoice adjustments
    • Assure timely collection of monies due to corporation and follow collection protocol on aged items
    • Maintains and updates collection status report for weekly review with manager
    • Manage AR inbox and respond to all customer inquiries
    • Complete monthly hardware reconciliation to ensure both AP and AR are properly recorded

Kinney Group has an opening for a Splunk App Support Technician position.  This position will work as an integral part of a Splunk support team to test new support tools and provide tier 1 support for add-ons and apps used by Splunk clients. This will include providing feedback to developers highlighting functionality and usability of new tools as well as answering and resolving customer support requests.  Colleagues will have assigned hours between 8am and 7pm and should have flexible availability to meet the growth demands of the team.

 

The Splunk Support Technician will:

  • Utilize new tools designed to streamline the support process for Splunk.
  • Assess technical issues and provide tier I resolutions, or escalate the issue to a Splunk App Support Engineer.
  • Contribute to the documentation library used by all technicians
  • Develop an understanding of Splunk and an awareness of all of its basic features.

The primary mission for the Principal Engineer is to be a Subject Matter Expert in their field as well an external face of the Kinney group at conferences, round tables and other industry events. This position’s specialty is Process Automation but can span the broader product ecosystem where Kinney Group is a partner, to include storage, virtualization, networking and cloud principles.

 

The Duties of the Principal Engineer include but are not limited to:

  • Team Membership
    • Provide Technical leadership to the engineering organization as a mentor and Solution Architect
    • Collaborate with line management regarding personal development & training requirements
  • Technology Expertise
    • Understand the capabilities of the technologies for which they are a Subject Matter Expert
    • Understand our partners and competitor’s roadmaps and present new and interesting capabilities to Engineering leadership for inclusion in the product & service roadmap.
    • Understand how the Kinney Group and our customers can leverage these new technologies in alignment with industry trends.
    • Collaborate with Partners and Customers on product and solutions based reference architectures that match both best practices and where the technology is headed
    • Broad systems and technology expertise including demonstrable expertise in troubleshooting complex issues
    • Understand the technologies used by our customers to identify new business opportunities within existing customers and work with Business Development to identify new opportunities.
    • Work with Business Development on new industry verticals to pursue, in tandem with our partners.
    • Provide solution design, technical leadership and define the scope for customer engagements.
    • Collaborate with marketing & sales teams to identify the requirements for sales & demo materials and work with engineering leadership to prioritize and deliver these capabilities.
    • Collaborate with engineering leadership to develop and enhance company development and process standards and, where required, perform quality verification of other colleagues’ work products.
    • Excellent written, verbal & presentation skills required to present to internal, external and industry stakeholders.
    • Ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities.

 

Required Skills and Education:

  • 8+ years of progressive industry expertise
  • Extensive experience with infrastructure automation and configuration management using Puppet, Chef or an equivalent tool
  • Experience architecting and building automated deployment and continuous integration solutions using Jenkins or an equivalent tool
  • 3+ years of experience working with virtualization/cloud technologies with a strong preference toward VMware but could include environments like AWS, Azure and Google
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with two or more following scripting or programming languages: (Powershell, Python, Linux Shell, Ruby, Java, Perl, Javascript)
  • 5+ years of Windows/Linux system administration, software development, DevOps or some combination of experience serving in those roles
  • Solid technical expertise and troubleshooting skills
  • Previous experience with source code management processes and the Git version control system
  • Proven success in leading projects and/or managing technical teams
  • Must be a team player who communicates constructively, listens actively, shows commitment to the team and can function as an active participant in a team environment

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong knowledge and expertise in DevOps solution and strategy
  • Prior consulting, advisory or professional services experience
  • Prior experience working with Agile development methodologies. Scrum experience preferred
  • Experience with VMware vRealize Automation Cloud Automation software
  • Relevant industry certifications in technologies like cloud computing, automation or virtualization platforms

  • Enjoys working in fast-paced, varied environments with highly diverse application architectures
  • Interested in using Big Data Analytics to solving Business Problems
