    As a Senior Windows Systems Administrator with PKI knowledge and expertise you will be involved in operating system and application maintenance and configuration - from acquisition to maintenance intervals and upgrades including end of life planning. You will be responsible for security and configuration compliance and will work with other members of the IT System Administration Team, vendor management, IT Asset Owners, and other teams associated with the division. As part of your responsibilities, you will be asked to respond to requests from end users, managers, developers, and team members for specific IT system assistance, data, and information.


    Position Description


    The Senior Systems Administrator responsibilities include:
    • Manages the functionality and efficiency of a group of computers running on one or more operating systems
    • Maintains the integrity and security of servers and systems
    • Sets up administrator and service accounts
    • Maintains system documentation
    • Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products
    • Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery
    • Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources
    • May program in an administrative language
    • Develops and implements testing strategies and document results
    • Provides advice and training to end-users
    • Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced staff members
    • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned
    • Participates in special projects as required
    • Consult with other team members and end users to identify PKI requirements and develop requirements documentation.
    • Contribute to the technical direction on all areas of PKI architecture, including policies, standards, strategies, automation and governance.
    • Provide guidance to key stakeholders on PKI lifecycle, processes and procedures.
    • Computer security, specifically in Windows/LINUX OS environment.
    • Customer focus for supporting applications / services using certificates.

    Desired Skills & Experience

    Education & Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience
    • 5-8 years of directly related experience in systems administration and analysis
    • Secret Security Clearance, and IAT level II Compliant Certification (i.e. Security+, GSEC, SSCP)
    • Professional work experience in a related field such as Public Key Infrastructure, Infrastructure IT (Systems Administration, Network Administration Windows/Linux OS, Network Administration, Active Directory and/or Virtualization
    • Familiarity with ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) framework of Change/Incident/Problem management
    • Experience with Service Manager
    • Strong communication skills in dealing with IT developers and system administrators
    • Experience with certificate management tools
    • Powershell or other scripting experience
