    Kinney Group teams support mission-critical needs for our customers. In this role, you will serve as part of an elite team of Engineers dedicated to excellence. We harness the power of IT in the cloud to improve lives and this role will serve as part of a team of Engineering professionals improving naval security at Crane Naval base in Oden, IN.

     

    As a Senior Administrator, SCSM Orchestrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the global enterprise SCSM platform used for the management of incidents, problems, changes, service requests, automation requests, collaborating with management, application technical support for analysts and developers, for resolving issues, architecting, configuring, and delivering system improvements and reports. The individual will leverage their experience to provide reporting analytics to facilitate queue management and on-going improvements.

     

    Success Criteria

     

    1. Strong background in automation scripting (Powershell)

    2. Basic satellite server knowledge

    3. XML understanding and prior use

    4. Intermediate level SQL administration knowledge 

     

    Duties

     

    1. Manages the functionality and efficiency of a group of computers running on one or more operating systems.

     

    2. Maintains the integrity and security of servers and systems.

     

    3. Sets up administrator and service accounts.

     

    4. Maintains system documentation

     

    5. Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products.

     

    6. Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation, and provides backup recovery.

     

    7. Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.

     

    8. May program in an administrative language.

     

    9. Develops and implements testing strategies and documents results.

     

    10. Provides advice and training to end-users.

     

    11. Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced staff members.

     

    12. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.

    Desired Skills & Experience

    Education

    Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline. May consider certifications and years of experience in lieu of a technical degree.

     
    Qualifications

    5-9 years of directly related experience in system administration.
